Bass Lessons for Kids

Our bass lessons for children are designed to establish correct technique and a solid theory foundation on which a child can build confidence and skill in playing.  In our bass lessons, children can expect to be challenged and supported at every stage of their learning.

Lesson Focus

The lessons are designed to have a broad focus, encompassing the many different aspects of music and the music industry as they relate to the bass player.

After first developing the correct posture and fingering technique, students will gradually be guided through music theory, playing songs, improvising, aural training, and finally learn about aspects of the music industry essential for those students wishing to pursue a career in music.

The lessons are engaging and utilize leading edge technology, ensuring tech savvy students are kept up to date with all the latest developments in music technology.

Concerts

We hold several student concerts throughout the year as a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase the skills they have learnt through lessons. It also serves to give parents the chance to see how their child is progressing. Students of all stages in their musical development are encouraged to take part as it serves as fantastic motivation. more info

Teacher

William Haskovec is a professional bass player and band leader with his own jazz quartet, the “William Haskovec Quartet.”  His experience in sesson playing and band leading has made him a well rounded teacher, with a sound grasp of all aspects of music and the music industry as well as the ability to impart knowledge and give direction.
