Kids Songwriting Workshop
Songwriting is often depicted as a magical unexplained process that certain people are just blessed with the gift of channeling. This theory may very well be so for some but there is, like it or not, a set of rules and guideline’s to writing a song. Our workshop is a study of the popular songwriting process with handy hints and foolproof processes at achieving a finished song.
The classes begin with a short explanation of songwriting followed by a set of exercises to help trigger the creative process. The group then participates in a group co-write, whereby participants use the ideas from the completed exercises’ to create a song.
The overall aim of the workshop is to provide students with the tools to go out and create their own music.
